   Confined Space Training

   Confined space training is mandated by Federal regulation 29 CFR  1910.146 and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) The  training programs provided by NVTA meets and in many cases exceeds  these  regulations

     Awareness Class: 6 hours


   This program is a must for any employees who will encounter confined  spaces during their normal workday.


   This program provides the participant with information to understand  the requirements set forth in CAL OSHA regulations pertaining to permit  confined space entry. The program covers equipment requirements and  personnel requirements for developing compliant and safe confined space  entry operations.

     Confined Space Entry Class: 18 hours

   Employees who make entry into confined spaces to perform work and/or repairs.


   This comprehensive training will review the organization's written Confined Space Entry Program to  include permit and non-permit confined space classification, attendant duties, entrant duties, and entry  supervisor duties, hazards of entering a confined space, isolation and ventilation methods, air  monitoring, confined space testing, work practices, preventing unauthorized entry, personal protective  equipment.

     Confined Space Rescue Class: 12 hours


   Rescue team members who are First Aid/CPR certified and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)  trained


   This course provides on site rescue employees with a comprehensive understanding of incidents  involving a confined space. This course teaches the responder how to recognize the hazard, access the  victim, stabilize the victim, and the proper procedures for retrieval. And an understanding of the tools  and equipment needed to perform a rescue.
